\n The fourth annual community fundraiser at West Hants Club in Bournemouth tasked keen cyclists with completing one or more 25-minute spinning slots each in return for a donation.\n<\/p>\n
\n The event, supported by Colten Care, AFC Bournemouth Ladies and Team Mind BMX, raised around \u00a35,000.\n<\/p>\n

\n Running with the superhero theme, instructors Cat and Clare dressed as Wonder Woman and Cat Woman and hosted a spin studio with classes for the whole day.\n<\/p>\n
\n Colten Care\u2019s director of marketing, Barney Baxendale, cycled for three and a half hours as Bananaman.\n<\/p>\n
\n Barney said: “The energy and community spirit was amazing.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It was an inspiring day from start to finish.\n<\/p>\n
\n “To see so many people come together – riding, cheering, supporting one another – was a powerful reminder of the strength and generosity of our local community.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Baxendale praised Cat and Clare, saying: “Spinning continuously for twelve hours takes not just physical stamina, but real commitment and heart, and they carried the day with such positivity and purpose.”\n<\/p>\n

\n West Hants Club members also joined in, and the chief executive, Peter Elviss, said: “The spinathon brought a brilliant atmosphere to the club.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Members, friends and staff showed up ready to ride, cheer, and pitch in, and the sense of community was clear from the moment Cat and Clare started.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Among other participants were AFC Bournemouth Ladies\u2019 head coach Helen Bleazard and four players, as well as British Champion Lee Hunt and three elite juniors from Team Mind BMX.\n<\/p>\n
\n Their collective efforts contributed to the funds raised for Dorset Mind.\n<\/p>\n
\n Chief executive of Dorset Mind Linda O\u2019Sullivan said: “Another epic achievement from Cat, Clare, and everyone at West Hants,12 hours on a bike, it makes me feel weak at the knees just thinking about it.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We hear firsthand what a difference our support makes to people across Dorset and these vital funds will help us reach more people.\n<\/p>\n
