Starting to draw up a list of restaurants you really, really want to try in 2026? OpenTable has just dropped a tonne of\u00a0top-quality eating-out inspo. The reservation booking company has revealed its list of the top 100 restaurants in the UK for 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

OpenTable\u2019s list was compiled with the help of nearly 800,000 reviews, all of which were written in the year from September 1 2024 to August 31 2025. The ranking took into account not just the proportion of five-star reviews but also other factors like the level of demand for reservations and number of direct searches.<\/p>\n

The top 100 wasn\u2019t in order, instead split alphabetically by region. London<\/a> was the most strongly-repped region, with 50 restaurants \u2013 a full half of the list. Manchester<\/a> (with Greater Manchester) had the second-most with seven entries, while third place was a three-way tie between Yorkshire<\/a>, Edinburgh<\/a> and Midlothian, and Newcastle<\/a> and Northumberland (all\u00a0with five entries).<\/p>\n

Notable inclusions were Bavette \u2013 Time Out\u2019s top restaurant in Leeds<\/a> \u2013 and Manchester\u2019s hyped Higher Ground<\/a>, as well as legendary Michelin-starred spots in the capital like CORE by Clare Smyth<\/a>\u00a0and The Ledbury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the list, OpenTable\u2019s senior director Sasha Shaker said: \u2018From exciting new names like Nina in London to much-loved local favourites such as Opheem in Birmingham and Higher Ground in Manchester, the list celebrates the fantastic spots that the UK has to offer.<\/p>\n

\u2018Whether diners are after a happy hour menu, a certain cuisine type or spot for group dining, there\u2019s a place to match every taste and occasion.\u2019<\/p>\n
