Rylan Clark<\/a> uttered eight simple words when This Morning<\/a> cut to an ad break after his explosive anti-immigration speech. The X Factor star was on the ITV<\/a> show on August 27, alongside Josie Gibson, Camilla Tominey and Tim Campbell, and noted that while healthcare professionals from \u201cother countries\u201d saved his mum Linda\u2019s life, he didn\u2019t agree with how they are crossing the Channel.<\/p>\n

He said at the time: \u201cI find it absolutely insane that all these people are risking their lives coming across the Channel. And when they get here, it does seem, and I think this is why a lot of Labour voters as well are saying there\u2019s something wrong, it feels like, ‘Welcome, come on in’. That\u2019s the narrative we\u2019re being fed.”<\/p>\n

Now Camilla has exposed the eight words Rylan said after the segment. Speaking on former BBC<\/a> presenter Andrew Gold\u2019s Heretics podcast, she was asked: \u201cDid the Rylan moment feel as big as it turned out to be, in the moment, for you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Camilla said: \u201cI kind of thought, \u2018Oh, he\u2019s putting his neck out\u2019. And then we had a break in between and he goes, \u2018I\u2019m going to get absolutely pilloried for this\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gold replied: \u201cHe\u2019s probably sitting there going, \u2018F***ing hell\u2019.\u201d But Tominey was desperate to disprove that theory, telling him: \u201cNo, I don\u2019t think so. I think he actually\u2026 I think Rylan is very misunderstood.<\/a> I think he\u2019s actually a really bright guy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s very well read and I think he has a persona \u2013 he said this himself \u2013 he is Rylan, and then he is himself. And he\u2019s a very capable broadcaster both on TV and radio. He\u2019s been around the block a bit. He knows what he thinks. He isn\u2019t afraid to express it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it was more in the vein of \u2018I\u2019m going to get pilloried\u2019 as in, \u2018This is what life is like these days\u2019 than a fearful, \u2018Oh my God\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gold commented: \u201cBut I don\u2019t know if he\u2019s been allowed on since.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tominey explained: \u201cWell, they\u2019ve kind of reconstituted the show a bit, because it\u2019s now Cat and Ben doing the main stuff, Dermot and Alison doing the Fridays. I think they\u2019d be absolutely ludicrous to not let him back on<\/a> because he\u2019s one of the best guest presenters they have.\u201d<\/p>\n
