After months of rumors<\/a>, Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer are officially getting a divorce. The comedian announced their separation on December 12 by posting a photo of the couple sitting in a subway car on Instagram. \u201cBlah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years,\u201d she wrote, adding that they will focus on raising their 6-year-old son, Gene David.<\/p>\n Schumer continued her post, writing, \u201cblah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag [a] basket and not because he\u2019s a hot James beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail.\u201d She ended the announcement by writing, \u201cAmicable and all love and respect! Family forever.\u201d<\/p>\n Some of Schumer\u2019s famous friends offered their support in the comments. Gayle King wrote, \u201cAmy been there never easy \u2026 only YOU could make THIS announcement w\/humor & love \u2026. Wishing you BOTH the very best.\u201d Sophia Bush<\/a> also commented, writing, \u201cIt\u2019s so damn hard without having it be hard for the world to see \u2026 so when the world sees I\u2019ll just say be extra gentle with yourself. All love.\u201d<\/p>\n Rumors of the couple\u2019s divorce have been making the rounds since October, when Schumer wiped her Instagram feed clean and deleted all of her photos \u2014 including images of Fischer.
