\n A large family home would be created in Waterside, if proposals are approved by East Ayrshire Council.\n<\/p>\n
\n The site of the home is close to the Doon Valley Railway Museum and would consist of four bedrooms.\n<\/p>\n
\n ICDP Architects has been tasked with drawing up the detailed plans for the home, with a decision set to be made by the beginning of February.\n<\/p>\n
\n A planning statement with the proposals states: “The project consists of the creation of a new Passivhaus dwelling which follows traditional Scottish design principles with a contemporary twist.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The woodland will be largely retained with some trees removed as suggested in the accompanying tree survey.\n<\/p>\n
\n “New planting within the plot will be designed to increase biodiversity and create new environments for wildlife.\n<\/p>\n
\n “An access road runs along the front of the plot and connects all of the existing buildings within the settlement.\n<\/p>\n
\n “An access is proposed from this road to the site.
