Jake Paul<\/a> has been advised by Anthony Joshua<\/a>‘s former rival Otto Wallin to cancel the fight just six days before the first bell.<\/p>\n

The YouTuber-turned-boxer faces his toughest test yet on Friday, December 19, in the shape of the former two-time unified heavyweight champion<\/a>. Paul – who has not fought since his decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr – was due to take on lightweight king Gervonta Davis last month, but was forced to cancel the showcase<\/a> after ‘Tank’ was accused of battery, false imprisonment and kidnapping by an ex-girlfriend.<\/p>\n

After issuing several call-outs of many big names within the sport, including Francis Ngannou<\/a> and Terence Crawford, but it was Joshua who obliged. The upcoming dust-up will take place over eight three-minute rounds – with both men set to wear 10oz gloves<\/a>. Regardless of the outcome, the result will count on their respective records.<\/p>\n

Following the announcement, many have called for Paul to pull out due to fears of his health and well-being. Wallin – who was forced to quit on his stool against Joshua two years ago<\/a> – believes the American risks ending his career against the British sensation.<\/p>\n

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will face off for a heavyweight clash in Miami on December 19. The fight will stream live on Netflix, which fans can get for free with Sky’s \u00a315 Essential TV bundle, the brand’s ‘lowest ever price’ for Sky TV.<\/p>\n

“Don’t do the fight. I’m so surprised if this fight goes ahead,” he told Hajper. “And I feel like the weight limit is a little bit cringy because it’s a heavyweight fight. But still, Joshua should be way too good, way too strong and fast for Jake Paul<\/a> and have too much experience. So I’m just so surprised that Jake is taking this fight. He goes from Tank Davis to Joshua, which is crazy. I don’t understand why he does it, but maybe he wants the respect saying that he fought Joshua, but it might end his career. Maybe, maybe he’s fed up with boxing<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Many expect it to be an early night at the office for Joshua. There have been a few who have been rather ambitious with their predictions. UFC<\/a> legend Nate Diaz has backed the ‘Problem Child’ to emerge victorious and has even placed a whopping $20,000 on the bout<\/a>. Fans were left stunned after legendary American film producer Jon Peters put his money where his mouth is after putting down $5million on Paul to topple Joshua<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wallin, like many, has tipped his ex-foe to come away with the win and would be surprised if the dust-up went past the first three minutes. “Personally, I think that he’s just going to try and knock him out. Because my thinking is that Joshua has been knocked out before by Ruiz and Dubois, so I think that he doesn’t want to take any chances and he knows if something happens against Jake Paul, then it’s terrible for him and his career,” he said.<\/p>\n

“So I honestly think that he’s just going to go out trying to take him out just like he did Ngannou. I think Jake is gonna try to survive. He’s gonna try to survive, but as soon as Joshua corners him and hits him and throws combinations that he can, he’s gonna take him out. Logically, it doesn’t go past the first round.”<\/p>\n

The pair will likely walk to the ring at around 11pm local time which would be 4am in the UK. Fight times are usually set to benefit the American audience and are subject to change depending on how long the undercard takes to complete.
