LCD Soundsystem<\/a>\u00a0have played their 2005 song \u2018Too Much Love\u2019 for the first time in 14 years \u2013 watch footage below.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0James Murphy<\/a>-led group concluded a 12-date residency at the Knockdown Center in Queens, New York on Saturday night (December 13), and for the final three nights of the stint, they dusted off the track from their self-titled debut album for the first time since 2011.<\/p>\n

In among a set that included music from across their celebrated career \u2013 including the first two parts of their 2006 composition \u201845:33\u2019<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 they opened their encore with \u2018Too Much Love\u2019, before rounding out the set with \u2018North American Scum\u2019, \u2018Dance\u00a0Yrself\u00a0Clean\u2019, \u2018New York I Love You But You\u2019re Bringing Me Down\u2019 and \u2018All My Friends\u2019.<\/p>\n

LCD Soundsystem\u2019s Queens residence is their first run of shows since\u00a0their co-headline shows with Pulp at the Hollywood Bowl<\/a>\u00a0in September. The two bands teamed up for\u00a0a version of Heaven 17\u2019s\u00a01981 synthpop classic\u00a0\u2018(We Don\u2019t Need This) Fascist Groove Thang\u2019<\/a>\u00a0at the dates.<\/p>\n

The release of \u2018X-Ray Eyes\u2019 in October last year<\/a>\u00a0was thought to be the first taste of LCD Soundsystem\u2019s next album,\u00a0which was initially reported to be set for release at some point in 2025<\/a>. Murphy later\u00a0shared an update on the upcoming record<\/a>, saying: \u201cDon\u2019t ask me when that is, because we are still working on it.
