Devin Haney <\/a>wants to keep adding to his championship hardware.
A few weeks after dethroning Brian Norman for his WBO welterweight title<\/a>, Bill Haney, his father and trainer, told Eddie Hearn his next move.
\u201cHe wants to fight Lewis Crocker<\/a>, our welterweight champion. It\u2019s a unification fight,\u201d Hearn told several reporters.
In a career filled with big-time wins, arguably none is bigger than his triumph over Norman <\/a>on November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For the first time as a pro, Haney (33-0, 15 KOs) was the underdog.<\/p>\n

However, none of that mattered as he dropped Norman (28-1, 22 KOs) in the second round before winning a unanimous decision to begin a championship reign in his third division.<\/p>\n

According to Hearn, becoming a unified champion is front of mind. <\/p>\n

Crocker won his first world title recently, taking a split decision over Paddy Donovan on September 13<\/a> for the vacant IBF belt. In what was viewed as a 50\/50 fight, Crocker (22-0, 11 KOs) dropped him twice. The 28-year-old hasn\u2019t revealed his future plans, but he did mention wanting big fights and that included Conor Benn.<\/a>
Hearn appears to be on the same page. After watching Benn (24-1, 14 KOs) score a recent win against Chris Eubank at middleweight<\/a>, the longtime promoter is attempting to position him for a world title shot at 147 pounds. Benn will likely find himself in a title bout in 2026 after the WBC recently made him the welterweight mandatory challenger. <\/a><\/p>\n

Hearn is closely monitoring everything and is also pondering Haney vs. Crocker next. <\/p>\n
