Josh Kemeny, who is coming into the final six months of his contract, admits that he doesn\u2019t know if he will still be at Northampton<\/a> Saints next season.<\/p>\n

Kemeny, 27, the nephew of Australian TV presenter Lara Pitt, made the shock move to Franklin\u2019s Gardens from Melbourne Rebels<\/a> in 2024, signing a two-year deal after England<\/a> flanker Lewis Ludlam<\/a> joined Toulon.<\/p>\n

He started his career with Sydney in Australia\u2019s National Rugby Championship<\/a> before moving to the Rebels, where he played 38 games, before moving to Saints, where he has played 27 times.<\/p>\n

Kemeny, who made his Wallabies debut against Argentina<\/a> in 2023, with a second cap coming against Portugal<\/a> during the World Cup later that year, has made no secret of wanting to win more caps.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got a taste of it [international rugby] \u2013 it\u2019s always been a goal of mine, and now it\u2019s a bit more feasible whilst not being in Australia,\u201d he told the BBC earlier this season.<\/p>\n

Rugby Australia<\/a> earlier this year scrapped \u2018Giteau\u2019s Law\u2019, which had placed restrictions on the Wallabies\u2019 ability to select overseas-based players.<\/p>\n

Joe Schmidt said he favoured players playing at Super Rugby franchises if they are of \u201cequal calibre\u201d to those playing overseas, and if incoming boss Les Kiss thinks the same way, it might be more favourable to return home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI signed a two-year contract, which makes me out of contract this summer, but things have been going really well in the sense that I\u2019m really enjoying it here. It\u2019s been good.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is always the draw factor of going back home, whether that\u2019s from family, international aspirations and all that sort of stuff. I\u2019m not sure what my next move is.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I know is I\u2019m happy, and my family is happy, so we will. We have definitely been in touch, and things are positive. But it\u2019s a complex thing that doesn\u2019t happen at the drop of a hat.
