Image: Chatbox<\/p>\n<p>The initial phase of the project will deliver a 100MW facility tailored for high-performance AI workloads, with the option to expand to 300MW.<\/p>\n<p>CoreWeave said it expects to create 600 construction jobs during the build, alongside 70 permanent operational roles at launch and up to 175 full-time positions as the site scales.<\/p>\n<p>The facility will be one of the first large-scale AI-specific data centres in the Mid-Atlantic region.<\/p>\n<p>Chirisa Technology Parks and Machine Investment Group are co-developing the site, with CoreWeave acting as tenant and lead operator. The companies said they plan to collaborate on workforce recruitment and community engagement during and after construction.<\/p>\n<p>Announced during a CEO roundtable with US President Donald Trump at the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit this month, the investment marks one of CoreWeave\u2019s largest commitments to date.<\/p>\n<p>CoreWeave operates 33 data centres globally, 28 of which are in the US. It describes itself as an \u201cAI hyperscaler,\u201d with a platform designed to meet increasing demand for GPU-based cloud computing.
