NBC host Jimmy Fallon<\/a> was caught using the same joke about New York City<\/a> Mayor Elect Zohran Mamdani three times in a matter of days.<\/p>\n

The late night star made the comparable cracks on December 9, December 16, and December 17.<\/p>\n

Fallon, 51, appeared to not notice the repetition.<\/p>\n

‘It was so cold in New York City this morning, walking to work, I saw a Wall Street stockbroker spooning with Zohran Mamdani,’ the first rendition\u00a0went.<\/a><\/p>\n

‘It is so cold in New York, I saw a Wall Street stockbroker spooning with Zohran Mamdani,’ Fallon said again <\/a>a week later – leading some to wonder whether or not it was a callback.<\/p>\n

But the joke reared its not-so-funny head again the following night.<\/p>\n

And his time, Fallon delivered the set-up – and punchline – as if it were off-the-cuff.<\/p>\n

‘It is so cold, walking to work, I saw a Wall Street stockbroker spooning with Zohran Mamdani,’ he said once more – once again to laughs.<\/p>\n

LateNighter <\/a>was first to report on the repetition. A compilation posted by the publication to X quickly racked up more than two million views.<\/p>\n

All three instances occurred in Fallon’s monologues.<\/p>\n

The recycled joke lampooned Mandani’s already tenuous relationship with New York City business leaders.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old former state assemblyman promised to raised the corporate tax rate repeatedly during his whirlwind campaign.<\/p>\n

A revenue proposal he penned further recommends an additional 2 percent tax on income that exceeds $1million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has also vowed to clamp down on billionaires, pledges that helped him to an upset over ex-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo in November.<\/p>\n

New York’s first Muslim mayor, Mamdani is set to be sworn in next month.<\/p>\n

His director of appointments, Catherine Almonte Da Costa, already resigned on Thursday, after it was revealed she made antisemitic social media posts more than 10 years ago.<\/p>\n

Many Jewish New Yorkers and the Democratic party were hesitant to embrace Mamdani due to his outspoken support for Palestine.<\/p>\n

Fallon is a far less political.<\/p>\n

Professor\u00a0Robert Thompson<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Syracuse University<\/a>\u00a0 told the Daily Mail in September that Fallon’s more outspoken counterpart\u00a0Seth Meyers could be the next host to go<\/a>\u00a0after CBS announced the cancellation of the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Je shared his gloomy forecast with the Daily Mail shortly after Jimmy Kimmel’s show was pulled over comments he made about\u00a0Charlie Kirk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘There is a theme going on here,’\u00a0Thompson\u00a0said, poining\u00a0to what he framed as a clear shift\u00a0away from the politically charged jokes popularized over the past ten years.<\/p>\n

‘Meyers is the one guy doing this type of comedy who hasn’t been fired yet. These last stories indicate that era is over,’ Thompson said.<\/p>\n

Colbert’s show will air its final episode in May. Kimmel signed a contract extension earlier this month.<\/p>\n
