One contestant from this year\u2019s competition has been vying for a presenting gig on the show since Tess Daly<\/a> and Claudia Winkleman<\/a>\u2019s departure was announced.<\/p>\n

The final of Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> aired last night, which saw the end of Tess and Claudia\u2019s reign as hosts and the incredible Karen Carney<\/a> lift the glitterball trophy. <\/p>\n

It was an emotional goodbye<\/a> as the judges, contestants and fans of the show paid tribute to the two women who joined the show twenty years ago. <\/p>\n

While it hasn\u2019t been announced who will replace the iconic duo, an insider said producers want to find the drag performer La Voix a role on the show.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the Daily Mail,<\/a> the source said: \u2018Producers think she [La Voix] is the next Dame Edna Everage and are determined to find her a role on Strictly, whether that be on the main show or It Takes Two [the Strictly spin-off show].\u2019 <\/p>\n

The Drag Race UK<\/a> star was forced to withdraw from the competition alongside Alja\u017e Skorjanec in the week before Blackpool after suffering from a foot injury \u2013 she was \u2018devastated\u2019 <\/a>at the time.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tShe made it clear that she fancied a go as presenter on the show in skits with the outgoing Tess and Claudia (Picture: BBC)<\/p>\n

Despite this, she certainly made an impact<\/a> during her time on the show. <\/p>\n

During one episode she asked Claudia<\/a> where to send her CV for the presenting gig, and in another she took Tess\u2019 spot introducing her own dance, before asking jokingly: \u2018How did I do?\u2019.<\/p>\n

This week, it seems her efforts could be paying off. <\/p>\n

The comic performer, born Chris Dennis, hosted the finalists press conference last Wednesday \u2013 a role usually reserved for the hosts of It Takes Two, Fleur East and Janette Manrara. <\/p>\n

According to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, \u2018it was definitely an audition.\u2019 The publication also noted that BBC\u2019s Head of Entertainment Commissioning, Kalpna Patel-Knight, was watching on. <\/p>\n

And this wasn\u2019t La Voix\u2019s only BBC gig this week. <\/p>\n

Aside from reappearing in the Strictly final<\/a> during the group dance, La Voix was seen presenting BBC\u2019s Morning Live alongside Helen Skelton as she stepped in for Gethin Jones.<\/p>\n

The star reportedly impressed and her empathy and support to everyone behind-the-scenes \u2018has not gone unnoticed by those at the top\u2019 according to the insider. <\/p>\n
