The BBC<\/a> says it has no future projects planned with David Walliams<\/a>. The former Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/a> judge, 54, has also been cut loose by HarperCollins, which announced it would no longer publish any new books by the children\u2019s author. Walliams is still set to appear on BBC<\/a> television over the Christmas<\/a> period.<\/p>\n The BBC said festive schedules would remain unchanged but stated there are no upcoming collaborations in place, which had been decided prior to Friday’s events involving Walliams’ publishers. A spokesperson for the Beeb said: “While we\u2019re not making changes to festive schedules, we have no future projects directly involving David Walliams.”<\/p>\n Walliams has strongly denied any wrongdoing and is understood to be taking legal advice. In a statement issued on his behalf, a spokesperson told PA: “David has never been informed of any allegations raised against him by HarperCollins. He was not party to any investigation or given any opportunity to answer questions. David strongly denies that he has behaved inappropriately and is taking legal advice.”<\/p>\n HarperCollins confirmed earlier that it had decided not to continue its working relationship with Walliams. A spokesperson told the Mirror<\/a>: “After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams.”<\/p>\n The publisher also told The Telegraph that Walliams had been made aware of the decision. The spokesperson added, “HarperCollins takes employee wellbeing extremely seriously and has processes in place for reporting and investigating concerns. To respect the privacy of individuals we do not comment on internal matters.”<\/p>\n Walliams is still set to appear on BBC One on Boxing<\/a> Day in a pre-recorded Christmas special of Would I Lie To You? However, the broadcaster has confirmed that two comedy Nazi salutes he performed “as part of a joke” will not be shown.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, CBBC is still scheduled to air film adaptations of his books Mr Stink and The Boy in the Dress.<\/p>\n The latest developments come three years after Walliams stepped down from his role as a Britain\u2019s Got Talent judge. He left the show in November 2022 after a transcript emerged of remarks he made about contestants during breaks in filming.<\/p>\n The comments, recorded during the 2020 series, included Walliams referring to one contestant as “a c**t” and saying of another: “she thinks you want to f*** her, but you don’t”.<\/p>\n He said in a statement: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent<\/a> in 2020. These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.”<\/p>\n Walliams had been a regular on the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell<\/a>, Amanda Holden<\/a> and Alesha Dixon<\/a> before being replaced by Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> star Bruno Tonioli<\/a>.<\/p>\n The BBC has not commented further beyond confirming there are no future projects planned with the comedian and author.<\/p>\n Like this story?
