Phil Mickelson says it would be “awesome” if LIV Golf<\/a> are to complete the signings of Si Woo Kim and Ben An.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kim was the subject of rumours<\/a> two weeks ago when it was reported by FlushingIt that the former Players Championship winner was in “late stage negotiations” to join the breakaway tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Multiple PGA Tour winner Sungjae Im was also reported to be attracting significant interest from LIV, but the golfer’s team moved quickly to deny there was any truth in the claims.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His caddie Willy Wilcox even joked on X that Im had agreed a deal with NASA to join a space tour with events taking place on Mars and Neptune.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kim, 30, a four-time PGA Tour<\/a> winner, quieted the rumours himself<\/a> on 13 December when he committed to the curtain-raiser in Hawaii.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“See you at the Sony Open” the former winner of the event wrote on his Instagram page alongside a photograph of him clutching the trophy. \u00a0<\/p>\n

But FlushingIt has now reported an improved offer has been lodged to Kim.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And Ben An is also the subject of a bid, according to the account.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both players have represented the International team in multiple Presidents Cups.\u00a0<\/p>\n

LIV Golf’s chief executive, Scott O’Neil, has placed on record his desire for the tour to expand into Asian markets.<\/p>\n

The league recently filed a trademark for Becko East GC and it is understood they want to fill the roster with Korean-born golfers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

FlushingIt<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n

“LIV Golf have resumed discussions to sign Si Woo Kim and Ben An to the new Korean-based Becko East GC franchise ahead of the new season. Sources indicate there are significant offers on the table and these players are still major targets ahead for the league ahead of the first event in Riydadh.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mickelson<\/a> responded to the post with an emoji of a shocked face, adding: “That would be awesome.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

FlushingIt further reported that Kim and An aren’t the only players attracting interest, with the top-50 ranked Max Greyserman also allegedly offered an eight-figure sum of money to join the Saudi Arabia-backed breakaway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Greyserman is ranked No. 32 in the Official World Golf Ranking.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“It is unclear whether a deal has been agreed at this stage, but it’s a good example of the kind of money being offered to sign players ranked inside the top 50 of the world,” added the account of the Greyserman rumour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

LIV Golf’s fourth full season begins next February.\u00a0<\/p>\n

No significant transfers have been made since Jon Rahm<\/a>‘s arrival in December 2023. The Spaniard signed a five-year contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Victor Perez, a three-time DP World Tour winner, became LIV’s first official signing in the offseason.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Perez looked as though he was going to lose his PGA Tour card. The 33-year-old has joined the Cleeks, replacing the relegated Frederik Kjettrup.\u00a0<\/p>\n

England’s Laurie Canter, who finished seventh in the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai and earned duel membership with the PGA Tour, has also decided to join LIV.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Canter has joined Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Sam Horsfield on the Majesticks team, replacing the relegated Henrik Stenson.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Not every team in the LIV Golf League have confirmed their rosters yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The aforementioned Mickelson needs a replacement in the HyFlyers for the relegated Andy Ogletree.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood and Dustin Johnson have signed<\/a> new LIV contracts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As for Im, he responded to the latest report by writing on his Instagram: “I will be playing on PGA Tour.”<\/p>\n
