It was revealed earlier this year that Lee Peart – Loose Women<\/a>‘s long-standing warm-up act, would be saying goodbye to the show from the New Year<\/a>, after show bosses decided to axe the live audience.<\/p>\n And on Monday\u2019s This Morning<\/a>, funnyman Lee – who has been making audiences chuckle before Loose Women since 2017 – kicked off his final week on the morning chatshow,<\/a> hosting the competition live on-air before his sad departure.<\/p>\n A job normally given to usual hosts Jeff Brazier<\/a> or Kate Lawler, Lee – who was seen reporting live from Warwick castle, as he gave out details while skating round an ice rink, was given the gig to mark his imminent departure from the show for good.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Victoria Beckham’s \u00a337 lipstick hailed ‘pure class’ as it earns shoppers compliments<\/a> In the past few weeks, Lee had been sharing emotional updates on social media of sad goodbyes with various panellists, some of who he has worked with since he started.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, he revealed on Facebook<\/a> that it would be a \u201cbittersweet end of an era\u201d.<\/p>\n He added, \u201cTwo weeks today will be my final Loose Women<\/a>! A bittersweet end of an era\u2026 the goodbyes are starting as it\u2019s the last time I\u2019ll work with Ruth, Gloria and Kellie in this capacity!\u201d<\/p>\n He then shared a smiling selfie with panellist Denise Welch, who last week confessed that she felt \u201cso sad\u201d that the comedian would no longer be on the show.<\/p>\n Lee\u2019s sad news first came to light back in July, when panellist Nadia Sawahla <\/a>said in a YouTube<\/a> video: \u201cFrom next year there will be no Loose Women audience. I am totally devastated by this fact, I can\u2019t get over it at all.<\/p>\n \u201cNot only because the audience is so important for the show, but also my dear friend Lee who I work with every day.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans will be able to tune into an exciting new project from Lee come 2026, however – a brand-new wine podcast with his pal, Celebrity Traitors winner Alan Carr <\/a>– and no doubt, a whole lot of laughs, too.<\/p>\n Each episode of Bottoms Up! blends entertaining chat, gossip and chaos with wine insights, tackling questions on how best to drink ros\u00e9 or how to handle a disappointing bottle at the table.<\/p>\n Speaking about their new venture together recently on Lorraine, Lee explained, “If you go to a fancy restaurant, you have no qualms saying to the waiter, ‘Oh, what’s this dish?’ But with the wines, you feel a bit intimidated. We’re trying to demystify it for people.\u201d<\/p>\n Alan added: “[We have] experts coming on, just giving you advice and stuff, because sometimes it’s overwhelming when you’re buying wine and everything.
