\n Selected tickets are on sale now for the 12th year of the event,\u00a0taking place at Cove Burgh Hall on November 29\u00a0and 30,\u00a0with weekend passes which give attendees access to all eight events available for \u00a355.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Saturday morning kicks off with former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, whose memoir will be published at the end of August.\n<\/p>\n
\n She has been booked to appear at major venues in both Edinburgh and Aberdeen, but will be discussing\u00a0her journey from working-class Ayrshire to the steps of Bute House.\n<\/p>\n
\n Next up is legendary BBC correspondent Allan Little, who has plied a distinguished trade in places as various as Moscow, Paris, Africa and the Balkans.\n<\/p>\n
\n He will be followed by\u00a0poet Billy Letford, a former roofer, who has published several books, many of them in the Scottish demotic and will be giving a compelling read of his own work.\n<\/p>\n
\n And finally, Clare Hunter\u00a0first came to the book festival to showcase her work on Mary Queen of Scots.\n<\/p>\n
\n On Sunday, book festival favourite\u00a0Sally Magnusson kicks off the proceedings with a new novel published just before she appears.\n<\/p>\n
\n A regular presenter on Reporting Scotland until the spring, she \u201cretired\u201d in order to pursue her stellar second career as a novelist.\n<\/p>\n
\n Next up is the Palestinian lawyer and peace activist Raje Shehadeh and his wife Penny Johnson.\n<\/p>\n
\n They live for part of the year in the West Bank town of Ramallah, so have a very personal account to share about life in that troubled region.\n<\/p>\n
\n After lunch, crime writer Lin Anderson is on hand to talk not just about her latest work, but about a previous one set largely in Kilcreggan.\n<\/p>\n
\n The proceedings close with author Sara Sheridan, a writer of many novels across\u00a0many genres, several\u00a0of which have been adapted for TV.\n<\/p>\n
\n She has also entertained the festival\u00a0once before and will be talking about her work which encompasses the strange dearth of female statues in Scotland.\n<\/p>\n
\n All the authors will have experienced chairs for each session.\n<\/p>\n
\n Meanwhile, single tickets will go on sale at the end of September.\n<\/p>\n
