Not many would think that Celtic would be brought up in the conversation of Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul. <\/p>\n

Over the weekend, as Wilfried Nancy was winning his first game<\/a> as Celtic manager<\/a> by beating ten-man Aberdeen at Parkhead.<\/p>\n

Over in the States, where Nancy managed in the MLS<\/a>, there was the small matter of the so-called boxing match between professional heavyweight Anthony Joshua and YouTuber Jake Paul.<\/p>\n

The fight was discussed on talkSPORT<\/a>, and the validity of it all, with Jim White opting to bring Celtic<\/a> into the conversation. <\/p>\n

The heavyweight bout in Miami was only scheduled for eight rounds, but many expected it not to go past the 30-second mark, given the calibre of the two men inside the ring.<\/p>\n

In the end, after both fighters, especially Paul, got some very good cardio under their belts, Joshua knocked out his opponent in the sixth round, with what was probably the only meaningful punch he threw during the so-called fight. <\/p>\n

Many have mocked what unfolded in Miami, with the fight itself being streamed on Netflix. <\/p>\n

talkSPORT host White, with Celtic legend Martin O\u2019Neill<\/a> in the studio, stated it\u2019s like the Hoops going into a Scottish Cup final, and O\u2019Neill wanting to play a \u2018lifelong fan\u2019 as a striker.<\/p>\n

But Simon Jordan didn\u2019t like the comparison and branded it \u2018silly\u2019, as O\u2019Neill explained that, such a fight, in years to come, will become the norm, and that\u2019s when \u2018nobody will be watching.\u2019 <\/p>\n

Jim White: \u201cAnthony Joshua is the A side of boxing. It\u2019s like Celtic getting into a Scottish Cup final, and you deciding, for whatever reason, Netflix wants you (O\u2019Neill) to play a lifelong fan in your two up front.\u201d<\/p>\n

Simon Jordan: \u201cThat\u2019s a silly comparison.\u201d<\/p>\n

Martin O\u2019Neill: \u201cSimon talked about it being an entertainment business. But I don\u2019t think it\u2019s done me, from a viewpoint, and I don\u2019t know anything about it, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s helped boxing at all. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf some YouTuber can earn \u00a385 million by going into a ring and running around the ring for five or six rounds \u2013 in seven or eight years time, when you are doing it more regularly, there would be nobody watching it.\u201d <\/p>\n
