A new Netflix drama that rocketed up the charts has been given an exciting update after leaving fans hooked<\/p>\n

Netflix\u2019s new murder mystery called one of the streamer\u2019s best shows of 2025 has been renewed for a second season.<\/p>\n

Drawing comparisons to HBO\u2019s hit drama True Detective, this six-part detective show scored rave reviews from fans and dominated the streamer\u2019s TV chart in July.<\/p>\n

Starring Eric Bana as Kyle Turner, a National Parks Service special agent, Untamed follows the grizzled investigator solving a young woman\u2019s mysterious death whilst struggling to come to terms with a family tragedy.<\/p>\n

Sam Neill and Rosemarie DeWitt also starred in the first season. Details about season two are sparse, but Deadline confirms Bana will return as Turner to solve another mystery.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the actor said: \u201cI am absolutely thrilled that we get the chance to bring another season of Untamed to life.<\/p>\n

Mark L Smith, who created the series with his daughter Elle Smith, told Tudum: \u201cElle and I envisioned it as a stand-alone, six episodes.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut then the more that we got into it, it was just such a great cast \u2026 it was just like, \u2018Oh yeah, how do we keep this going?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Countless fans will be thrilled to see the series return after Untamed received an impressive 50 million views in its first two weeks of release.<\/p>\n
