The flag-raising ceremony hosted by the Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom is being held following Prime Minister Keir Starmer's announcement on Sunday that the UK, alongside Canada and Australia, has officially recognized the state of Palestine. The move comes as the international community seeks to apply pressure on Israel to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza. In July Starmer pledged that the UK would recognize Palestinian statehood, "unless the Israeli government takes substantive steps to end the appalling situation in Gaza, agree to a ceasefire, and commit to a long-term sustainable peace reviving the prospect of a two-state solution." (Photo by Leon Neal/Getty Images)" decoding="sync"/>
Doctors move constantly between crises, putting out one fire only to be pulled towards the next (Picture: Getty)

When I step into A&E, it’s like operating in a war zone.

Trolleys line corridors that were never designed to hold patients.
