{"id":333240,"date":"2025-12-24T12:21:04","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T12:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/333240\/"},"modified":"2025-12-24T12:21:04","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T12:21:04","slug":"carl-froch-delivers-honest-verdict-on-anthony-joshua-vs-tyson-fury-as-fight-plans-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/333240\/","title":{"rendered":"Carl Froch delivers honest verdict on Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury as fight plans revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/tyson-fury\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyson Fury<\/a> vs <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/anthony-joshua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anthony Joshua<\/a> wheels are rumoured to be in motion following Joshua\u2019s knockout of Jake Paul and fan-favourite super middleweight icon Carl Froch has now declared his thoughts on the proposed clash.<\/p>\n<p>Joshua halted Paul after six rounds of action in Miami, <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/paul-on-if-fights-again-after-joshua-ko\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">breaking the jaw of the YouTuber-turned-boxer in two places<\/a> and returning to winning ways after 15 months away from the ring following defeat to Daniel Dubois.<\/p>\n<p>Now, whispers suggest that both AJ and Fury will fight alternate opponents in early 2026, where victories will tee up a long-awaited showdown with one another in September.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on <a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/shorts\/sA1m_79IKKg?si=M2Nx2nnh556HYhbe\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">his YouTube channel<\/a>, four-time super-middleweight world champion Froch admitted that he expects Fury to be Joshua\u2019s final opponent before retirement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is going to fight Tyson Fury and make even more money and then he is going to retire, because he can\u2019t fight for a world title again. I wouldn\u2019t put him back in with Daniel Dubois, I wouldn\u2019t put him in with any bona fide world champion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The Cobra\u2019 then went on to state his opinion that Fury-Joshua, if it happens, has come too late, comparing the potential bout to Floyd Mayweather\u2019s eventual meeting with Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan\u2019s grudge match with Kell Brook.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fight with Tyson Fury would still sell. It\u2019s still interesting, it\u2019s Tyson Fury and \u2018AJ\u2019. I think it\u2019s Pacquiao-Mayweather, it\u2019s Khan-Brook \u2013 it\u2019s too late.
