Unfortunately, very little information regarding the event has been published outside of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/boxing\/409299\/oscar-de-la-hoya-blasts-zuffa-boxings-january-debut-where-are-you-finding-top-level-talent-no-one-knows-about\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the initial reports pointing to the late January lineup<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">As far as who\u2019s fighting \u2026 that also remains a mystery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cThey\u2019re arrogant and they think they\u2019re going to come in and dominate boxing, but it\u2019s not going to happen,\u201d Matchroom Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cjvW-Qptmf4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ariel Helwani<\/a>. \u201cHaven\u2019t they got a show on January 23? That\u2019s their first show, right? It\u2019s a month away. So I\u2019ve got no idea. You\u2019ve got to come out of the blocks with a bang, you can\u2019t come out with something lame. What are you going to do, do a show in the APEX to launch TKO Boxing? It\u2019s got to be a monster and with four weeks to go how much of a monster can it be? I want to be up against them. Whether we are product wise, we\u2019ll see very soon. But they\u2019re very good, they\u2019re very smart, they\u2019re very connected. But if they come out weak on January 23rd, they are going to get \u2026 because everybody\u2019s waiting to give them an absolute shellacking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Matchroom Boxing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.matchroomboxing.com\/boxers-2\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">houses an impressive stable of pugilists<\/a> including Anthony Joshua, Shakur Stevenson, Antonio Vargas, Dmitry Bivol, Katie Taylor and Jesse Rodriguez, among others. TKO Boxing has \u2026 uh \u2026 some other guys and gals. I\u2019m sure they\u2019re listed somewhere on the TKO Boxing website that doesn\u2019t exist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cSo many people in boxing want them to fail and I don\u2019t think they will fail,\u201d Hearn added. \u201cBut if they get it wrong and it stinks the place out in January \u2026 the worst thing they could do is come out with something poor. A rushed, poor product, because they don\u2019t actually understand boxing, at all. I\u2019m intrigued. Because I said, these are smart guys! But where we are positioned right now, coming off that win with Anthony Joshua, our TV contracts, our stable, our brand identity globally, our schedule that\u2019s already lined up now until the end of the year, we are absolutely cooking on gas. 2026, we are going to smash it. Bet on Matchroom.
