\n\tNearly a decade after his career as a child actor was jumpstarted by Stranger Things<\/a>, Noah Schnapp<\/a> wants to see more mental health<\/a> resources available for his industry peers.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor recently revealed that after thinking he didn\u2019t need it as a \u201chappy-go-lucky kid,\u201d he\u2019s since gone to therapy, which he agrees with Ariana Grande<\/a> that it should be mandatory for children<\/a> in their line of work.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s hard to grow up in the public eye,\u201d he told USA Today<\/a>. \u201cYou don\u2019t know yourself, you haven\u2019t figured anything out, and now you\u2019re expected to know everything and have all the answers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSchnapp continued, \u201cI was constantly saying the wrong things or being embarrassed by not taking certain things seriously that I should\u2019ve, and then that lives on forever. People grow and learn, and to do that publicly is not easy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDebuting its series finale on New Year\u2019s Eve, Schnapp was 11 when filming Season 1 of Netflix\u2019s Stranger Things, which kicked off its five-season run in 2016.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThrough the years, it becomes like, \u2018No, this is an abnormal life and you need some type of support system outside of your parents,’\u201d said Schnapp.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGrowing up, I never understood why people were depressed or turned to drugs or had eating disorders. As you get older, you understand how the pressures of Hollywood can create that,\u201d he added. \u201cI always tell my parents, \u2018I could never live in LA. I think I would get lost.’\u201d<\/p>\n
