His stunning goal and performance against Wolves in the EFL Cup is proof of that.

He is yet to score in the Premier League though, and Chelsea fans will be hoping that it doesn’t take long before he properly gets going at Stamford Bridge.

Who is Chelsea’s best winger?

👇 Join the debate; share your insight. Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say

Alejandro Garnacho – B+

Very few Chelsea fans were convinced by the signing of Alejandro Garnacho when it became clear he would be on his way from Manchester United.

Despite this, he has made a very strong start to life at Stamford Bridge, and should be considered as the starting option on the left of attack.

In the battle between Garnacho and Gittens, the Argentine has easily come out on top so far.

Estevao Willian – A+

One of the best signings Chelsea have made in modern history, Estevao Willian looks set to become a superstar very, very soon.

Estevao outshone Lamine Yamal on the biggest stage when Chelsea beat Barcelona, and it looks as if this is just the start for the Brazil international.

Maresca has clearly tried to protect the youngster since he joined, however it is getting to the point where he is very difficult to ignore.

Jorrel Hato – C+

Signed to play both left-back and centre-back, Jorrel Hato currently only looks comfortable in the former.

A couple of errors while playing at the heart of defence have seen him left out of the squad for the majority of games recently.

Playing second fiddle to Marc Cucurella, it was clear that opportunities were going to be limited for the Dutchman after he joined from Ajax.

Photo by Catherine Ivill – AMA/Getty Images

Liam Delap – C

Liam Delap saw his start to life at Stamford Bridge restricted due to injury, and since then he has been back on the treatment table due to a shoulder problem.

Inbetween all of that, he is still yet to find the net in the Premier League, although is off the mark in Europe.

Chelsea play better with his presence up top, but will need him to start delivering in front of goal soon to fill the void left by Jackson’s exit.

Dario Essugo – D

A very difficult player to judge, due to Dario Essugo not playing for Chelsea in the 2025/26 season due to injury.

It is clear the club have signed him to provide cover for Moises Caicedo, however he unfortunately was not available for the spell of games where the Ecuadorian was injured.

The price Chelsea paid for him could turn into a bargain, however so far his lack of availability has hindered the signing.

Facundo Buonanotte – C-

Chelsea’s only loan signing of the 2025 summer transfer window, it has been difficult to grade Facundo Buonanotte due to his lack of minutes of late.

The return of Cole Palmer essentially put to an end his time in the matchday squad, however when he did feature he by no means looked out of place.

If Chelsea fans can take anything from his loan spell, his goal against Lincoln City saw the Blues advance in the EFL Cup at an early stage.

Mathis Amougou – F

Remember Mathis Amougou?

The midfielder was signed by Chelsea back in January, and played 22 combined minutes in the Conference League and Premier League before a permanent move to Strasbourg over the summer.

Considering he is still under the BlueCo books, it can’t be discounted that we could see Amougou at Stamford Bridge again someday.

 Join Our Newsletter

Receive a digest of our best Chelsea content each week direct to
