\n\tBrian May<\/a> gifted Queen<\/a> fans this week by unearthing the band\u2019s unreleased Christmas song \u201cNot for Sale (Polar Bear).\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe guitarist shared the track during the year-end episode of his Planet Rock radio show, noting that the track originally dated back to the late Sixties when the band \u2014 with vocalist Tim Staffell \u2014 was known as Smile. The group would later revisit \u201cNot for Sale (Polar Bear)\u201d with Freddie Mercury during the sessions for 1974\u2019s Queen II, a never-heard version that May premiered on his radio show.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cYou might possibly have heard a kinda bootleg version of this by Smile, it\u2019s a song that goes back a very long way,\u201d May prefaced on Planet Rock before debuting the track.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cTo my knowledge no one has ever heard this version, which is kinda a work in progress and it will appear on the forthcoming rebuild of the\u00a0Queen II\u00a0album next year, but I\u2019m sneaking this in because I\u2019m just fascinated to know what people think about it.
