The couple were expecting Amiyah-Mae to arrive on December 29, but were delighted at her earlier-than-expected appearance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Amiyah-Mae was born at <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gazettelive.co.uk\/all-about\/james-cook-university-hospital\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">James Cook University Hospital<\/a> in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gazettelive.co.uk\/all-about\/middlesbrough\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Middlesbrough<\/a>, weighed a healthy 7lb 4oz. Mum and baby are both well and still managed to make it home for late celebrations with the family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Carer Demi-Leigh, 21, and taxi driver Brandon, 24, arrived back in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gazettelive.co.uk\/all-about\/marske\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Marske<\/a>, where the new mum lives with her dad Paul O&#8217;Connell and his partner Katie Quinton. Demi-Leigh told Teesside Live: &#8220;We weren&#8217;t expecting her to come on Christmas Day but it was a such nice little surprise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The new mum was induced on Christmas Eve after Amiyah-Mae went &#8220;a little bit quiet&#8221; but arrived safe and sound just after midnight. &#8220;We got home about 4.30pm and we managed to get a Christmas dinner. Only just!&#8221;, said Demi-Leigh.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;She&#8217;s settled in really well. People are saying she looks a lot like me but I can&#8217;t tell just yet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">She&#8217;s absolutely gorgeous &#8211; huge congratulations to Demi-Leigh, Brandon and all the family.
