The Halo franchise is set to see new beginnings soon, as Xbox revamped the entire development team behind the iconic FPS series. Halo Studios is now leading development on two new titles that are well into their development.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Under a new studio and leadership, the development process of Halo games is also being changed. As spotted by the reliable Rebs Gaming<\/a>, Recent changes and leadership structure under Halo Studios show that Generative AI has become a big pillar in the development of Halo games.<\/p>\n

Why it matters: The use of Generative AI has been highly controversial in the gaming industry, and gamers have only rebelled against such usage.<\/p>\n

Angela Hession was recently appointed as Halo Studios\u2019 Chief of Staff. Before this role, she had been a Microsoft employee for over a decade, working as a Global Head of Gaming Safety and Trust. Interestingly, Angela has her own AI consultancy service that helps integrate AI strategies across gaming, tech, and commerce corporations.<\/p>\n

Her experience in AI seems to be a major reason why she was hired as Halo Studios\u2019 Chief of Staff. Interestingly, reports also suggested that Xbox has made AI workflows mandatory<\/a> for all of its employees after the huge wave of layoffs earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That isn\u2019t all, though. Other Halo Studios employees, such as a director, are also using AI-driven automation to accelerate development at the studio.<\/p>\n

Regarding the current development status of Halo games, earlier reports revealed that there are leadership problems at the studio<\/a>. Furthermore, the employees weren\u2019t happy with the slate of upcoming projects<\/a> either, which makes sense considering the direction they\u2019re headed in.<\/p>\n
