A Championship rugby league club have taken to social media to appeal for information after suffering three break-ins on consecutive weekends.<\/p>\n

Barrow Raiders, who will play in the extended Championship<\/a> competition in 2026, took to social media after three separate break-ins were recorded on the club\u2019s CCTV footage at their ground.<\/p>\n

The rugby league club took to social media just before Christmas, reporting that they had suffered break-ins in the early hours of Sunday 7th, 14th, and 21st of December.<\/p>\n

With rugby league clubs run on such a tight budget, such incidents can be devastating, especially when damage is done, as is the case at Barrow.<\/p>\n

The club confirmed that there had been damage to the marquee tent at the ground, with money taken from the till, as well as stock.<\/p>\n

Barrow Raiders report spate of break-ins<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s post on Facebook was accompanied by three different videos, two that showed the break-in on the 21st of December, with another showing that of the 14th of December.<\/p>\n

Barrow appealed: \u201cDo you know where your teenage children have been between 2am and 3am for the last 3 Sunday mornings?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have had 3 break-ins to our marquee with damage to the tent and CCTV cameras and stock and cash stolen.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomeone must know something or be able to recognise them from our CCTV videos.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rugby league club\u2019s chairman, Steve Neale, told\u00a0The North West Evening Mail<\/a>: \u201cFollowing our social media appeal, we have had a number of names and addresses sent to us and these have been forwarded to the police.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhilst the value of the stolen items is relatively minor, the slashing of our marquee and destruction of some of our CCTV cameras is more costly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barrow Raiders begin the Championship season<\/a> at home to Cumbrian rivals Whitehaven on Sunday, 18th January.<\/p>\n
