Kanye West<\/a> has revealed that he is releasing a new album.<\/p>\n

The rapper made a surprise appearance during a comedy show by Deon Cole at the Hollywood Improv last night (December 27), where he announced the news.<\/p>\n

In clips shared online, Cole invites West onto the stage and introduces him to the audience as \u201ca good friend,\u201d thanking the rapper for attending the show.<\/p>\n

After joking about what West thought of the show, Cole then asks him what fans can expect next. \u201cYou got anything we could look out for?\u201d Cole says. \u201cNo music, no shirts or sweaters or some boots?\u201d<\/p>\n

West then responds: \u201cNew album,\u201d prompting loud cheers from the room.<\/p>\n

Cole then jokingly requests to appear on an interlude on the forthcoming project, and asks if West could send him a care package of clothes, to which West agrees to before exiting the stage.<\/p>\n

West\u2019s most recent albums are the 2024 collaborative projects \u2018Vultures 1<\/a>\u2018 and \u2018Vultures 2\u2019 with Ty Dolla $ign<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since then, West has mainly been in the news for the many anti-Semitic tirades he\u2019s launched online over the past few years, which have seen him be banned from X\/Twitter and Instagram multiple times<\/a>\u00a0over comments which violate their policies on hate speech.<\/p>\n

As well as tirades on social media, Ye also began selling\u00a0a white T-shirt with a large swastika on the chest<\/a>\u00a0earlier this year, leading to\u00a0Shopify shutting down his Yeezy website<\/a>. West would then hit out at the move, and\u00a0claim that he had the idea for the shirt for years.<\/a><\/p>\n

Before then,\u00a0he said in a 2023 documentary that he believed Jewish people were working together to \u201chold him back\u201d<\/a>, and the year before, he provoked widespread backlash after telling Jewish people to \u201cforgive Hitler\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That same year, West said that he \u201cdoesn\u2019t believe\u201d in the term anti-Semitism<\/a>, and sparked backlash from the likes of many, including Piers Morgan, who told Ye that he didn\u2019t \u201cthink you understand the pain you\u2019ve been causing with some of these comments.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

Others to have hit out at the comments are Jamie Lee Curtis, voice actor John DiMaggio,\u00a0Diane Warren<\/a>, and\u00a0Bleachers<\/a>\u00a0frontman\u00a0Jack Antonoff<\/a>. After the widespread condemnation of his tweets,\u00a0West would then go on to say that he wanted to \u201chug every Jewish person,\u201d and explained that he was jealous of several aspects of Jewish culture.<\/a><\/p>\n

He recently\u00a0met up with a prominent New York rabbi called Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto to \u201ctake accountability\u201d<\/a> for the hurt caused, and apologise for his bipolar disorder allegedly causing him to lash out at the Jewish community.<\/p>\n
