In a new interview with RUSSH Magazine<\/a>, the musician reflected on releasing music today, saying: \u201cIt\u2019s weird these days. Depending on which pocket of the internet you look at, you\u2019ll find completely different reactions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll go on YouTube or Instagram, and there\u2019ll be so much positivity, but I\u2019ll still scroll until I find the negative ones,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe all do it, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

Parker then went on to admit that releasing a record can feel \u201cviolating\u201d, as the music no longer belongs to just him. \u201cIt\u2019s this baby that you\u2019ve been growing for a year, two years, this thing that you\u2019ve stressed and cried and laughed over \u2013 and danced to yourself and loved and hated,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis thing you\u2019ve had following you around for so long, and then it\u2019s suddenly seeing the light of day and being shared with the world,\u201d he added.\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s just such an overwhelming idea, you know?<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea of these songs that were once yours, and now are not yours; they belong to the world now. That transition weighs quite heavily on the artist, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then added: \u201cSometimes it even feels a little violating. Because they were yours, and now they are not.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Tame Impala\u2019s fifth studio album\u00a0\u2018Deadbeat\u2019<\/a>\u00a0arrived back on October 17, and was\u00a0given a three-star review from\u00a0NME<\/a>. It noted that \u201cParker has grown outside his comfort zone, only to strike a kind of lyrical inertia that becomes detrimental to his new vocabulary of music\u201d.<\/p>\n

Over the past two months, Tame Impala embarked on\u00a0a huge US<\/a>\u00a0tour, and they will be bringing the show to the\u00a0UK and Europe<\/a>\u00a0in spring 2026. UK shows include a stop at the O2 Arena on May 7, followed by visits to Manchester (8), Birmingham (9) and Glasgow (11) and Dublin (13).<\/p>\n
