Nottingham Forest have reportedly made a formal complaint to the PGMOL about refereeing decisions in their defeat to Manchester City.<\/p>\n

Forest<\/a> were beaten 2-1 at the City Ground on Saturday and manager Sean Dyche was furious with the officiating.<\/p>\n

He said the officials’ performance ‘had such an impact’ on the match<\/a> and that he ‘cannot fathom VAR at the minute’.<\/p>\n

As per The Athletic, Forest have formally complained to refereeing body PGMOL<\/a> about two key decisions from referee Robert Jones.<\/p>\n

They believe Ruben Dias was lucky to avoid being sent off for fouling Igor Jesus when he was already on a yellow card.<\/p>\n

Dyche also claimed that Morgan Gibbs-White was fouled moments before Rayan Cherki scored the winner for City in the 83rd minute.<\/p>\n

Forest have requested the audio of the match officials’ conversations, and Dyche is set to speak to chief refereeing officer Howard Webb.<\/p>\n

Forest anger with PGMOL<\/p>\n

This is not the first instance in which Forest have hit out at refereeing decisions and the PGMOL.<\/p>\n

In April 2024, they released a stunning statement<\/a> that about ‘three extremely poor decisions’ during a 2-0 defeat against Everton.<\/p>\n

Forest claimed they warned the PGMOL that the VAR Stuart Attwell was a Luton Town fan amid their relegation battle at the time.<\/p>\n

“Our patience has been tested multiple times,” they said. “NFFC will now consider its options.”<\/p>\n

Former Premier League official Mark Clattenburg was working as the club’s referee analyst at the time, but left weeks later<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Forest also requested the VAR audio<\/a> from the match, whilst the FA confirmed they would investigate the club’s statement.<\/p>\n

The FA charged manager Nuno Espirito Santo and defender Neco Williams for comments they made after the match.<\/p>\n

Defeat to City on Saturday has left Forest looking for answers once again in regards to officiating in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

They are 17th in the table and five points above the relegation zone with 18 matches played.<\/p>\n
