The Ogun State Police Command wrote in a statement<\/a> that Joshua was seated in the rear of a Lexus SUV at the time of the crash and received medical attention for minor injuries. Two other passengers died at the scene. The status of the driver is unclear.<\/p>\n The Federal Road Safety Corps also said in a statement<\/a> that the Lexus jeep was speeding \u201cbeyond the legally prescribed speed limit\u201d when it crashed into a stationary truck.<\/p>\n In a separate X post, Gbenga Omotoso, the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, shared a photo<\/a> of the crash and noted that ambulances had been called to the scene. In the image, Joshua could be seen standing at the crash site. <\/p>\n Megan Briggs via Getty Images<\/p>\n Eyewitness Adeniyi Orojo told local outlet The Punch<\/a> that the passenger seated next to the driver and the person who was sitting beside Joshua both died at the scene.<\/p>\n The Punch also shared an image of Joshua sitting in the damaged vehicle as well as a video of the former two-time heavyweight champion emerging from the SUV at the crash site.<\/p>\n BBC<\/a> reported that one of Joshua\u2019s relatives said the boxer was traveling from Lagos to his family\u2019s home at the time of the accident. <\/p>\n On Monday morning, Jake Paul shared his thoughts about the tragedy in an X post<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cLife is much more important than boxing.
