Paloma Faith<\/a> has revealed that leaving her husband Leyman Lahcine\u00a0was actually the \u2018best choice\u2019 she has ever made.<\/p>\n

The Traitor star and Leyman split in 2022, but it wasn\u2019t until August 2023 that Paloma confirmed <\/a>they had gone their separate ways.<\/p>\n

They had first connected in 2013, keeping their relationship out of the spotlight as much as possible.<\/p>\n

Now, the Picking Up The Pieces singer, 44, has revealed the positive side of ending that romantic relationship. <\/p>\n

Speaking on her\u00a0Mad, Sad and Bad podcast<\/a>, she said: \u2018Women feel like it\u2019s their duty to stay and suffer for their kids. I think the relationship with my children\u2019s dad that I got out of is amazing now.<\/p>\n

\u2018Maybe in choosing to get out of the relationship in the romantic sense and into a relationship with him as a friendship and a co-parent was the best choice I ever made in hindsight because I think our relationship is better because of it \u2018<\/p>\n

In 2016, speaking to Sunday People<\/a>, Paloma shared that she and Leyman were very similar people and rarely argued. <\/p>\n

However, when they welcomed their two children into the world, their dynamic changed and they were no longer growing together.<\/p>\n

In a devastating comment to the\u00a0Independent<\/a>, Paloma admitted their children were the reason for the break-up but said it was absolutely \u2018worth it\u2019.<\/p>\n

Following the split, the Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer described herself as a \u2018broken woman\u2019 and said the emotional turmoil had left her \u2018dishevelled\u2019.<\/p>\n

However, it wasn\u2019t all glum as she reportedly was \u2018living her best life\u2019 while at a Jonathan Ross<\/a> party shortly after.<\/p>\n

The pair now amicably co-parent their two daughters, who were born in 2016 and 2021, while Paloma revealed she is also expecting her third child.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a surprise announcement, she wrote on Instagram: \u2018Plot twist, mother is mothering (again).\u2019<\/p>\n

She has not revealed who the father of her third child is, however, earlier this year, it was reported that she was dating Stevie Thomas, the director of a music venue in\u00a0Birmingham<\/a>\u00a0after he joined her at a\u00a0Brit Awards<\/a>\u00a0afterparty.<\/p>\n

Paloma admitted to being a \u2018bit worried\u2019 about being pregnant in her 40s<\/a>, especially as she caught the flu <\/a>earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\u2018I couldn\u2019t be more happy about another baby and I\u2019m bracing myself for the\u00a0storm<\/a>\u2026.\u2019 she penned on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n
