Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> has confirmed that he will fight on and the unified heavyweight world champion is currently in talks with one man with a potential date and location revealed.<\/p>\n

A former undisputed cruiserweight world champion, Usyk moved up to the heavyweight scene back in 2019 and halted Chazz Witherspoon on debut<\/a>, before becoming a two-time undisputed heavyweight ruler by twice conquering each of Anthony Joshua<\/a>, Tyson Fury<\/a> and Daniel Dubois<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, Usyk looks set to face a non-British opponent for the first time since Witherspoon, with manager Egis Klimas telling The National<\/a> that a fight with Deontay Wilder<\/a> is \u2018very likely\u2019 and that the bout will be agreed once Usyk has first settled on a new multi-fight deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very likely [that Usyk fights Wilder] because right now we\u2019re working on it, and we\u2019re working on some multi-fight agreement for Oleksandr.<\/p>\n

As soon as we\u2019re ready to confirm that, we\u2019re going to jump in. And some talks already are going on with the team of Wilder.\u201d<\/p>\n

Klimas then went on to provide further details about Usyk\u2019s clash with \u2018The Bronze Bomber\u2019<\/a>, revealing that the Ukrainian will fight in the United States for the first time since his heavyweight debut when he returns to action in around four months\u2019 time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re looking at Las Vegas or Los Angeles, and dates are the end of April, beginning of May.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilder is one of the best names [that] Oleksandr didn\u2019t face yet. He\u2019s still in good shape, and he\u2019s still a fighter, so he\u2019s interesting. And as well, it\u2019s the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n
