Sebastian Hernandez<\/a> doesn\u2019t know what the judges were looking at.
The hard-hitting junior featherweight contender didn\u2019t protest when he found out he lost to Junto Nakatani<\/a> in the co-main event of last weekend’s “Ring V: Night of the Samurai” card.<\/p>\n

However, now the adrenaline has worn off and watching the fight back, Hernandez doesn’t believe the judges got it right.<\/p>\n

\u201cI watched the fight again and I think I did enough to win,\u201d Hernandez told Fight Hub TV. \u201cBut I\u2019m grateful for the opportunity. I\u2019m gonna keep working.\u201d<\/p>\n

In terms of the numbers<\/a>, Nakatani (32-0, 24 KOs) landed 297 of 837 punches. Hernandez connected with 271 of 921.<\/p>\n

Although he had plenty of moments, Hernandez\u2019s work rate and success went to another level in the second half. In each of the final six rounds, Hernandez (20-1, 18 KOs) landed at least 20 punches. In the final two rounds, he landed 65 punches.<\/p>\n

Still, his relentless pressure wasn\u2019t enough. One judge, Nawaf Almohaimeed, egregiously scored it 118-110, while the other two cards read 115-113 in Nakatani<\/a>‘s favor.
Nakatani, who was making his 122-pound debut, will move on to an all-Japanese showdown against Ring and undisputed champion Naoya Inoue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for Hernandez, he isn\u2019t too disheartened over the first defeat of his career. Although he wishes he won, he sleeps well knowing that those watching at home or at Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, were thoroughly satisfied. <\/p>\n
