West Ham look to have finalised their first signing of the January transfer window before the new year begins.<\/p>\n

Nuno Espirito Santo is desperate for transfers<\/a> this winter as his side are four points adrift of safety in the Premier League. <\/p>\n

West Ham are expected to be busy<\/a> as signing attackers as well as defenders is the priority for the London Stadium<\/a> outfit. <\/p>\n

Adama Traore set to join West Ham<\/p>\n

According to AS<\/a>, Adama Traore will be leaving Fulham in January and join the Hammers.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard\u2019s contract at Craven Cottage runs out at the end of the season, so they want to cash in on him this winter.<\/p>\n

Nuno<\/a> shared a good working relationship with the 29-year-old during their time at Wolves and is now keen on a reunion.<\/p>\n

Traore\u2019s signing is a special request from the Portuguese to the Hammers hierarchy, and he\u2019s set to join immediately.<\/p>\n

The West Ham<\/a> manager wanted Premier League experience, and in the Fulham forward, he is getting someone who\u2019s made 259 appearances in the English top flight.<\/p>\n

Signing an attacker, specifically a striker, was the main demand of Nuno in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

Traore\u2019s arrival could signal plans to move Jarrod Bowen to a central striker role permanently, but that does not seem to be the case.<\/p>\n

The pursuit of the Fulham winger is indepent to that of an out-and-out number nine.<\/p>\n

West Ham want Jorgen Strand Larsen<\/a> from Wolves and are even ready to make a bid for him.<\/p>\n

Strand Larsen will be the best striker West Ham have signed in years. He will save them from relegation\u2026 \ud83d\ude0d <\/p>\n

So, a striker signing is very much on the cards, even if Traore is to become the first arrival of the January transfer window. <\/p>\n

It remains to be seen if that striker is Larsen, as Wolves are demanding quite a lot of money for the Norway international.<\/p>\n

Apart from a striker, the Hammers are also keen on bringing in a new centre-back before the window closes.<\/p>\n

Charlie Cresswell has admirers at the London Stadium<\/a>, and a Toulouse exit could be on the cards for him in the coming weeks. <\/p>\n

There are other options being considered too, but Nathan Ake surely will not be joining. <\/p>\n
