\n The Canaries are poised for an active month as they seek to add options to their struggling squad to help sustain a positive early impact that the Belgian has had since succeeding Liam Manning in November.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\n It will be a case of quality over quantity for City in January, with Clement pinpointing added creativity as a priority.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I’m not going to go into detail\u00a0about positions\u00a0because I don’t want to put the people\u00a0in the club with their back\u00a0against the wall,” Clement said.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Then you push them about those positions\u00a0until the 31st of January,\u00a0but it’s clear that we need\u00a0to gain creativity\u00a0in the final third.\u00a0That’s what we saw also\u00a0in this last game.\u00a0We need to strengthen there\u00a0and everybody is aligned around that.\n<\/p>\n
\n “For me, it’s about quality.\u00a0So, I prefer somebody who’s 12 years old but is an incredible player, and of course I’m exaggerating now, over somebody who’s 37 and did everything in the game, but he’s not fit anymore, and he cannot do it anymore.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It’s about quality.\u00a0Of course, if you can add quality\u00a0and leadership\u00a0and you can do both\u00a0it’s always better\u00a0but I know also\u00a0it’s a January window is a difficult window because there’s not one club\u00a0in the world\u00a0who wants to lose\u00a0their best players\u00a0or players who played\u00a0a lot of games.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We will see.\u00a0It’s about quality\u00a0and getting the right quality.\u00a0That’s the major thing.”\n<\/p>\n
\n City’s efforts in the market will be led by sporting director Ben Knapper and the recruitment team, who have been criticised for their work in previous windows, which have left Norwich with a squad languishing four points adrift at the bottom of the Championship.\n<\/p>\n
\n Many supporters have been left wondering what role Clement will play in their incoming business, and the man himself explained the importance of collaboration.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I don’t have the time\u00a0to look at games\u00a0all over the world now\u00a0because\u00a0I’m totally\u00a0into the story here,” Clement said.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We have every three days\u00a0games and we need to prepare\u00a0for these games, for trainings\u00a0and to prepare\u00a0the team in everything\u00a0so there’s no time\u00a0for that. I’m working\u00a0every minute\u00a0that I’m awake\u00a0for the moment\u00a0and the last five\u00a0and six weeks\u00a0to get everything\u00a0on track here in the club.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We have\u00a0other people\u00a0in the club\u00a0and the recruitment team\u00a0to do that. They\u00a0come to me with certain names\u00a0with a list\u00a0in certain positions\u00a0and then\u00a0I look at\u00a0those names,\u00a0and I say\u00a0which one\u00a0I favour\u00a0or players\u00a0that\u00a0I don’t believe can be\u00a0good enough\u00a0for the squad.\n<\/p>\n

\n “For the moment, there’s been\u00a0really good cooperation\u00a0between us\u00a0to discuss everything.\u00a0I think\u00a0this is the normal way\u00a0that every professional\u00a0club works.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “I know from the past\u00a0in some clubs that\u00a0some fans\u00a0still think\u00a0that the manager\u00a0can\u00a0find all the players\u00a0himself\u00a0like it was\u00a030-40 years ago. At that moment,\u00a0it was possible\u00a0because\u00a0it was a totally\u00a0different time\u00a0in preparation\u00a0in work\u00a0with players. There were no videos, no video sessions and all these things, so you could focus on that as a manager, and even to go watch other games live.\n<\/p>\n
