\n The pop singer and his wife Kristina appeared on a celebrity edition of the BBC show Escape to the Country, where they enlisted the help of presenter Jules Hudson to find their dream home in the countryside.\n<\/p>\n
\n With a budget of \u00a31.3 million, the couple hoped to find a character property with modern features, four double bedrooms, space for a music studio, and a garden for their dogs.\n<\/p>\n
\n Host Jules Hudson said: “Not the easiest to find.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The property search began in the Gloucestershire village of Edge, followed by a visit to a converted pub in Ashton Keynes, North Wiltshire.\n<\/p>\n
\n The episode took a musical turn when Mr Hawkes paused the house hunt to teach Mr Hudson a few guitar chords, leading to an impromptu song around an outdoor fire.\n<\/p>\n
\n The presenter also hosted a light-hearted quiz in one of the homes, challenging Mr and Mrs Hawkes to identify famous musicians and recall major events from 1991, the year The One and Only became a hit.\n<\/p>\n
\n Later, the couple viewed a five-bedroom property in Chalford Hill before touring the show\u2019s largest-ever mystery house, a 17th-century manor in Sevenhampton.\n<\/p>\n
\n In the end, Mr and Mrs Hawkes said they particularly liked the third property but had not yet made a decision.\n<\/p>\n
\n Kristina Hawkes said: “What you definitely have shown us is that the Cotswolds is very, very lovely.”\n<\/p>\n
