{"id":348001,"date":"2026-01-02T11:37:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-02T11:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/348001\/"},"modified":"2026-01-02T11:37:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-02T11:37:07","slug":"a38-major-road-shut-after-snow-and-collisions-reopens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/348001\/","title":{"rendered":"A38: Major road shut after snow and collisions reopens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Part of a key route in Derby was closed after being impacted by snow and &#8220;a number of collisions&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">National Highways said the northbound carriageway of the A38 had been shut between the Kingsway roundabout and the A52 at Markeaton &#8220;due to the adverse weather conditions in the area&#8221; on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A statement said additional traffic officers had been deployed to remove snow and add more grit to the road surface.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Diversions were in place, and motorists were being advised to plan ahead and expect delays.
