Bradford Bulls\u2019 forward Sam Hallas has spoke on his gratitude at returning to Super League<\/a>, almost ten years after first debuting.<\/p>\n Hallas, who turned 29 in October, made his Super League debut back in May 2016 for Leeds Rhinos in their Magic Weekend defeat to Wigan Warriors.<\/p>\n He\u2019d go on to play three more times for the Rhinos before signing with Bradford, at first on loan and then making the move permanently. He\u2019s now in his third separate spell at Odsal, having initially signed in 2017, returned in 2022 and then again in 2024.<\/p>\n As such, he\u2019s played well over 100 games for the club but he didn\u2019t necessarily expect to be playing in Super League again, something he\u2019s revealed to\u00a0The Telegraph & Argus<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t expect to be back playing in Super League,\u201d Hallas told the Bradford-based publication, admitting that having first dropped out of the comp, he held hopes of a return before accepting his fate.<\/p>\n \u201cProbably over the last two or three years, I\u2019d maybe just accepted that it probably wasn\u2019t going to be the case for me. To get the chance now, I\u2019m immensely grateful and I\u2019m trying my best.\u201d<\/p>\n Bradford Bulls out to surprise a few in 2026<\/p>\n The Bulls have signed plenty of Super League talent<\/a> after their promotion, however, he was one of several already in the squad to have had some prior Super League experience.<\/p>\n With so many new additions, particularly in the forward pack, game time could be hard to come by for the former Rhinos man, however, he\u2019s also aware of the club\u2019s young talents too.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got some young kids who are chomping at the bit to play, as am I,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m desperate to get a game because everyone just wants to be a part of this team, put their best foot forward and get a few wins.\u201d<\/p>\n With 16 new recruits added in the off-season, Bradford are a completely new-look side and they\u2019re one not to be underestimated in the eyes of Hallas.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got some fantastic players here and I don\u2019t think it can be underestimated just how good some of these new signings are,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not daft enough to think we\u2019re going to win a treble straight off the bat, we know it\u2019s going to be tough next year.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a massive step up for us lads that are coming up from the Championship.<\/p>\n \u201cBut it\u2019s rugby, it\u2019s not rocket science, so as long as we give it everything we\u2019ve got, hopefully we\u2019ll surprise a few.\u201d<\/p>\n The Bulls kick off their Super League season with a visit to face Hull FC in round one<\/a>, before then hosting Catalans Dragons as Odsal makes it\u2019s long-awaited return to the competition.<\/p>\n
