Ebanie Bridges risked a “t*** up catastrophe” when she made her long awaited return to the weigh-in scales ahead of her comeback fight this weekend.<\/p>\n

The Blonde Bomber faces Alexis Araiza in Puerto Rico<\/a> on Saturday night, January 3, in her first fight since losing the IBF world bantamweight title in December 2023. In the time since she has had a baby boy with British boxing legend Kell Brook, but while clearly loving parenthood, the new mum says she has been desperate to get back in the ring.<\/p>\n

The Australian fighter vowed that her trademark weigh-ins would be as raunchy as ever and that she wouldn’t stop showing off her “massive t***”<\/a>, as she goes all out to get eyes on women’s boxing. And the 39-year-old made good on that promise as she dropped jaws in tiny pink lingerie today – but almost fell while doing so, after inadvertently kicking the scales.<\/p>\n

Showing her trademark humour, Bridges took to social media afterwards to share a clip of the weigh-in and joke about it on her Instagram page.<\/p>\n

She wrote: “Hahahahahaha f***** kicking the scale thing hahaha could of been a catastrophe – woulda gone t*** up” accompanied by crying laughing emojis.<\/p>\n

On X she added: “Kicking the stand and that lol lucky I didn’t fall t*** up. Coulda been a catastrophe.” And fans were certainly impressed by the footage of the weigh-in.<\/p>\n

One wrote: “Wow..back to Bantam after a lay off and a baby!!…You have worked hard Ebanie…Go girl..Good luck and show em you still got it!!” Another fan commented: “Ebanie always brings it.” And a third wrote: “Kell Brook is a lucky man!”<\/p>\n

Fan favourite Bridges, who lives in Yorkshire and is a big Leeds United fan, had already made a big impression at an open workout session ahead of her showdown with Araiza, 35, when she posed for photos with fans and looked relaxed before her return to action.<\/p>\n

Bridges dropped the IBF world bantamweight title to Miyo Yoshia in an upset loss at the end of 2023. Earlier this year she signed a deal with American YouTuber turned fighter Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).<\/p>\n

Bridges (9-2) and Araiza (3-2-1) will light up the undercard of Amanda Serrano vs Erika Cruz II. Serrano, who beat Cruz in 2023 but lost her world title to Katie Taylor in two defeats in 2024 and 2025, is also a fighter for Paul’s MVP.<\/p>\n

The fight at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente, San Juan, will be screened live on the DAZN streaming platform and Bridges has said she is excited to get back to what she does best, with her gorgeous son at ringside.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the fight and life as a mum, Bridges said: “He’s a whole new level of motivation for me. I can’t wait to do what I do best: entertain, put on a show, and deliver an exciting fight.<\/p>\n

Bridges’ return to action is sure to be box office with the Aussie raring to get going again. She previously said: “I really just want to get out there, have a shake about, and then I want to back it up straight away.<\/p>\n

“I’ve been left on ice, waiting, waiting, waiting, one fight a year, two fights a year and I’m just sick of that. I’m really hoping Jake Paul and MVP can give me regular fights, because I want to fight. I love fighting.”<\/p>\n

American star Araiza was born in California and raised in Fort Worth Texas. She trains out of Dream Performance Gym in Fort Worth and competes in the 118lb division for the Dallas Enforcers in Team Combat League, with a regular fighting weight of 115lb.<\/p>\n

She is described as a crafty-puncher who thrives on unpredictability in the ring, and like Bridges, is also a proud mum, as she has two children.<\/p>\n

Her dream is to become Fort Worth\u2019s first female world champion, but she will face a very stern test in Bridges.<\/p>\n
