It says that \u201cthere is no doubt this is Russian disinformation\u201d.<\/p>\n Res Futura Data House, a Polish information security analysis group, has recently shared examples of videos from a TikTok account that contain AI-generated videos of young women wearing Polish national symbols and addressing messages to young Poles.<\/p>\n Some of the videos express support for so-called \u201cPolexit\u201d from the EU. Others criticise the pro-EU government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The channel\u2019s profile description also included an anti-EU slogan associated with Polish radical-right leader Grzegorz Braun<\/a>, who supports Polexit.<\/p>\n Wszystko szyte pod algorytm i skrypty pro #Polexit<\/a> made by AI pic.twitter.com\/6t9NmhJBFc<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Res Futura Data House (@Polityka_wSieci) December 28, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n On Tuesday, deputy digital affairs minister Dariusz Standerski noted that, \u201cin recent days, TikTok has seen a surge of videos generated using AI, spreading disinformation regarding Poland\u2019s membership in the European Union. The scale of this practice may suggest that we are dealing with an organised campaign\u201d.<\/p>\n Government spokesman Adam Sz\u0142apka, meanwhile, declared that \u201cthere is no doubt that this was Russian disinformation\u201d. He noted that some of the texts spoken in the video contained Russian syntax.\u00a0<\/p>\n Standerski also shared a copy of a letter he had sent to Henna Virkkunen, the European Commission for tech sovereignty, security and democracy, requesting that she initiate proceedings against TikTok under the EU\u2019s Digital Services Act (DSA).<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n In the letter, he argued that the videos \u201cpose a threat to public order, information security, and the integrity of democratic processes in Poland and across the European Union\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cAvailable information suggests that TikTok has not implemented adequate mechanisms for moderating AI-generated content,\u201d added the minister, \u201cnor has it ensured effective transparency measures regarding the origin of such materials.\u201d<\/p>\n This \u201cundermines the objectives of the Digital Services Act concerning the prevention of disinformation and the protection of users\u201d. The DSA is an EU regulation that went into force in 2022 and aims to regulate the accountability, moderation and transparency of digital services.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, social media platform X became the first to be found not to be in compliance<\/a> with the DSA, resulting in it being fined \u20ac120 million by the European Commission.<\/p>\n Interweniuj\u0119 ws. Only on 13 December 2025 did it change its name to a Polish one and begin publishing the videos about Polexit.<\/p>\n Recent opinion polls have indicated growing support for Polexit<\/a>, with two surveys this month showing that 25% of Poles now think that their country should leave the EU. However, a majority still favour remaining in the bloc.<\/p>\n Growing anti-EU sentiment has coincided with a rise in support for Braun<\/a>, who finished a surprise fourth in this year\u2019s presidential election, and his Confederation of the Polish Crown (KKP) party.<\/p>\n A quarter of Poles now favour leaving the EU, a much higher figure than before, according to a new poll.<\/p>\n Among supporters of the right-wing opposition, 43% now favour “Polexit” while 44% want to remain in the EU https:\/\/t.co\/UHyHDwygnN<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Notes from Poland \ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf1 (@notesfrompoland) December 22, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n
