Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say <\/p>\n As it stands, he is the leading candidate to take over at Stamford Bridge<\/a>, and he has recently been given another stamp of approval by a Premier League great. <\/p>\n Gary Lineker is a fan of Chelsea candidate Liam Rosenior <\/p>\n Given the jobs Gary Lineker<\/a> has frequented in the years since his retirement, he has met and talked at length with some of the best and most promising managers around. <\/p>\n Rosenior was a guest on Match of the Day a few years back, and he made a good impression on the former host of the show. <\/p>\n As Lineker shared on The Rest Is Football<\/a>: \u201cA lot of talk that Liam Rosenior will be brought in. I think he\u2019s heavy favourite with the bookmakers. I don\u2019t know if there\u2019s any truth to that. <\/p>\n \u201cHe coaches at their sister club, doesn\u2019t he? Strasbourg, who are currently about seventh in Liga. He was at Hull before that. Was Wayne Rooney\u2019s assistant at Derby for a little while. <\/p>\n \u201cI actually worked with him once, he was in the studio a few years ago. He has got a fine tune out of his young Strasbourg side, and the hope is that he can do the same at Chelsea<\/a>. <\/p>\n Alan Shearer\u2019s post-Maresca Chelsea verdict <\/p>\n Alan Shearer also chimed in on the situation, and his stance hasn\u2019t changed. <\/p>\n Shearer supported Maresca during his row with Chelsea\u2019s owners<\/a>, and continues to do so after his dismissal. <\/p>\n He says: \u201cFootball is a mad game. You get Chelsea winning the Club World Cup, winning the Conference League, and finishing in the Champions League. <\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s one way of looking at thinking, well, hang on, what more do you want?
