The 2026 season is just around the corner, as the first race of the year, the Tour Down Under, will kick off in Australia on January 20. As the peloton gears up for an exciting year ahead, Diego Pescador is preparing for the new campaign with a rather unusual companion.<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old climber is one of Eusebio Unzu\u00e9<\/a>‘s big long-term bets. He still has a long way to go, but he has already shown flashes of brilliance, such as his performance in the 2025 Vuelta a Asturias (where he finished 6th in the general classification)<\/a>. He even started Paris-Roubaix<\/a>, although he did not finish.Pescador is joined… by a macaw!<\/p>\n
The enormous bird stuck close to his bike for more than 40 seconds and even came close to hitting him in the face. But beyond that, it left Diego Pescador with one of those memories that will never be forgotten.
