The mother of all soap stunts crashes onto our screens in the form of Corriedale, the dark and gripping lovechild of Coronation Street and Emmerdale that we never knew we needed.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a stunt-packed super-ep featuring major characters from both soaps such as Coronation Street Legends\u00a0David Platt<\/a>\u00a0(Jack P Shepherd<\/a>),\u00a0Shona Platt<\/a>\u00a0(Julia Goulding<\/a>), Tracy Barlow<\/a>\u00a0(Kate Ford<\/a>), and\u00a0Carla Connor<\/a>\u00a0(Alison King<\/a>), while joining us from t\u2019Dales there\u2019s\u00a0Cain Dingle<\/a>\u00a0(Jeff Hordley<\/a>),\u00a0Charity Dingle\u00a0<\/a>(Emma Atkins<\/a>),\u00a0Robert Sugden<\/a>\u00a0(Ryan Hawley<\/a>)\u00a0and Aaron Dingle<\/a>\u00a0(Danny Miller<\/a>). <\/p>\n

All these beloved fan favourites will have their worlds collide in a horrifying car crash in the dead of night\u2026 dead being the operative word. At least one character will meet a sticky end.<\/p>\n

But you can\u2019t have soap death without soap justice, so Coronation Street has revealed that one unlucky resident will be taking a compulsory trip to Weatherfield police station to face charges. The question is\u2026who?<\/p>\n

First up, it\u2019s the unusual suspect herself, Becky Swain<\/a>\u00a0(Amy Cudden<\/a>). <\/p>\n

The bunny-boiling bad cop\u2019s the cat that got the cream in this episode, having finally persuaded<\/a> her ex-wife Lisa<\/a>\u00a0(Vicky Myers<\/a>) to reconcile and start afresh abroad with their daughter Betsy<\/a>\u00a0(Sydney Martin<\/a>). With a heavy heart, Lisa\u2019s accepted only because Carla\u2019s called time on their relationship and has swanned off on holiday to Lanzarote\u2026only she hasn\u2019t. <\/p>\n

Detective Constable Kit Green<\/a>\u00a0(Jacob Roberts<\/a>) found Carla\u2019s disappearance very fishy\u2026and he didn\u2019t get that \u2018Awesome Police Officer\u2019 coffee mug for nothing. He suspects Becky\u2019s involvement in Carla\u2019s disappearance and resolves to track her down<\/a>, eventually finding her. <\/p>\n

But by the time Kit finds Carla, though, Becky\u2019s already driving Lisa and Betsy to the port in Hull to catch a ferry. So begins frantic car chase number one. Desperate, Carla makes a phone call to Lisa, who picks up. But as soon as Becky realises who\u2019s on the line, she takes her eyes off the road for a split second too long\u2026with devastating results.<\/p>\n

Will Psycho Swain go down for reckless driving and manslaughter\u2026or will Carla carry the can?<\/p>\n

Corriedale is literally bringing a busload of drama to this episode as Debbie Webster<\/a>\u00a0(Sue Devaney<\/a>) and\u00a0Ronnie Bailey<\/a>\u2019s (Vinta Morgan<\/a>) wedding party is being driven back from the venue by none other than the Billy Mayhew<\/a>\u00a0(Daniel Brocklebank<\/a>). Does he cause the crash? <\/p>\n

It has to be distracting, with the cast of characters he\u2019s ferrying, half-drunkenly singing romantic songs. You can\u2019t exactly blot that lot out with Radio 4. <\/p>\n

But the source of Billy\u2019s distraction could be something far darker. Having finally witnessed the horrifying CCTV footage of the abuse Todd Grimshaw<\/a>\u00a0(Gareth Pierce<\/a>) has been suffering, he agrees to give him a lift home after the wedding so he can move his stuff out of the flat before Theo Silverton<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0(James Cartwright<\/a>) gets back. After months of physical and emotional abuse, Todd has finally found the strength to leave and his old friend Billy couldn\u2019t be more supportive. <\/p>\n

The problem is, Theo doesn\u2019t take rejection well\u2026so Todd fills with dread when the minibus gets an unexpected passenger. Theo\u2019s always disliked Billy because of his past romantic history with Todd. And actor Daniel Brocklebank confirmed that Billy will be exiting Coronation Street early in 2026<\/a>. Does Theo\u2019s rage cause Billy to lose control of the minibus\u2026 and does Billy exit Coronation Street in handcuffs?<\/p>\n

Last and least, it\u2019s the worst Webster, Carl<\/a>\u00a0(Jonathan Howard<\/a>). This man\u2019s got more dirty secrets than Betty\u2019s Hotpot\u2019s got spuds, including cheating on his partner Abi<\/a>\u00a0(Sally Carman-Duttine<\/a>) with James Bailey<\/a>\u00a0(Jason Callender<\/a>), cheating his sister Debbie<\/a> out of her business accounts by taking advantage of her dementia, and most shocking of all, being responsible for the hit-and-run<\/a> that left Tyrone Dobbs<\/a>\u00a0(Alan Halsall<\/a>) confined to a wheelchair. <\/p>\n

So it\u2019s no surprise that after Debbie\u2019s wedding, a drunken Carl gets behind the wheel of another car\u2026but this time Debbie jumps in.<\/p>\n

Having revealed to Abi that his interest in her ended when their relationship stopped being forbidden after admitting that he did injure Tyrone and destroyed Kevin<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0(Michael Le Vell<\/a>) evidence before clashing with Debbie herself upon the reveal that she didn\u2019t tell him his mum had reached out before her death, Carl\u2019s in a state.<\/p>\n

Does he cause the crash? Will Carl finally face justice\u2026 or will he gaslight his sister to get out of trouble again?<\/p>\n
