Ibrahima Konate\u2019s mistake during the 2-2 draw at Fulham has led to savage criticism from Jamie Carragher, while a second Liverpool player has also been questioned.<\/p>\n
Liverpool<\/a> academy graduate Harry Wilson continued his fine form in the 17th minute by firing past Alisson on his left foot after Raul Jimenez sent him through on goal. The Reds were poor in the first half but improved after the break, with Alexis Mac Allister heading onto the crossbar before Florian Wirtz equalised for the visitors.<\/p>\n Conor Bradley flew forward and played in Wirtz, who showed composure to guide the ball into the net on his weaker left foot. However, there was yet more drama as a last-minute screamer from substitute Harrison Reed rescued a point for Fulham.<\/p>\n A second successive draw for Liverpool leaves Arne Slot\u2019s side in fourth place, 14 points behind leaders Arsenal.<\/p>\n Konate<\/a> has had a rocky season and was at fault for Wilson\u2019s opener, pressing in midfield and leaving space in behind for the Welsh winger.<\/p>\n On Sky Sports<\/a>, Carragher said at half time:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m sick of seeing it all the time, lazy defending from centre-backs, not just Liverpool, right throughout the Premier League. Harry Wilson does not make that run if Konate\u2019s across and [Virgil] van Dijk\u2019s across.<\/p>\n \u201cSo whether that\u2019s coming tactically from the manager, or they just want to sit in their armchairs in the middle of the pitch and let the midfield players do the running for them\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n When asked about Liverpool\u2019s wider performance at full time, Carragher added:\u00a0\u201cLiverpool\u2019s response second half was better, it couldn\u2019t be any worse really. The first half was so pedestrian, there was a little bit more intensity [in the second half], a lot of that comes from Conor Bradley.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the pundit was surprised that Wirtz\u2019s goal stood, given the fact he looked narrowly offside.<\/p>\n \u201cWirtz gets a goal, I think that\u2019s two in three games now,\u201d Carragher continued. \u201cHe looks offside to me. I think when Robertson has played \u2013 and he hasn\u2019t played as much as Kerkez \u2013 I think you\u2019d probably say Robertson\u2019s performances have been better.<\/p>\n \u201cKerkez has found it tough. It\u2019s been a struggle for him. He\u2019s a young man but he\u2019ll have to improve in the second half of the season, there\u2019s no doubt about that.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s funny watching him play because I always remember speaking about Trent Alexander-Arnold who Liverpool have missed enormously, and saying it\u2019s like having Kevin De Bruyne at right-back.<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes when you watch Kerkez it\u2019s like having Darwin Nunez at left-back.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just a bit mad. There\u2019s no thought process, what\u2019s he doing with the ball, how\u2019s he connecting with other players.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just head down and run.
