Like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/672367\/switchbot-lock-ultra-3d-facial-recognition-price-release-date\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Keypad Vision<\/a> that SwitchBot launched last year, the new Lock Vision series unveiled at CES uses 3D facial recognition technology to enable \u201cnear-instant unlocking\u201d after scanning your face.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">The Lock Vision is the first smart lock from SwitchBot that needs to be installed directly into your door in place of a traditional lock, instead of being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/23323597\/switchbot-lock-review-smart-door-lock\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">retrofitted over existing locks<\/a> like all its previous smart lock products. It supports Matter-over-Wi-Fi connectivity for direct integration with Apple Home. SwitchBot says the included rechargeable battery can run for six months on a single charge, with an additional backup battery that lasts up to five years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Two variations have been announced, but SwitchBot hasn\u2019t revealed the price or availability for either version yet. The base Lock Vision model can be unlocked using facial recognition, passcodes, app control, geofenced auto-unlocking, an NFC card, or a physical key.
