The Albion boss, who led Albion to the play-offs having taken over while they were in the Championship relegation zone – left the club last Christmas to take over at his boyhood club.<\/p>\n
His task was to help them survive in La Liga – and he did that and then some.<\/p>\n
Corberan guided his side to top results over the big sides in the division, such as Barcelona and Real Madrid – and in the end they were not far off qualifying for Europe.<\/p>\n
But this season has not gone to plan for the Spaniard – who remains popular among the Albion fans.<\/p>\n
His side are without a victory in their last five games – and have slipped into the bottom three.<\/p>\n
And their latest defeat at the weekend, a 4-1 loss to Celta Vigo, has seen the fans in Valencia turn on the ex-Albion boss.<\/p>\n
