Jeremy Clarkson has disclosed that his medication is “devouring” his muscles in a candid revelation about his wellbeing.<\/p>\n

However, the TV presenter confessed he’s reluctant to take the necessary steps to “combat this”. The admission from the Clarkson’s Farm host surfaced in a recent column reflecting on his use of weight loss medication Mounjaro.<\/p>\n

Writing in his column for The Times, he declared: “The human being is a flawed design. We have the intellectual capacity to work out what is good for us, but most of us can’t be bothered to do anything about it.”<\/p>\n

Clarkson continued: “Science and painstaking research recently determined that Mounjaro is eating my muscles and that to counteract this I absolutely must do weights in the gym.”<\/p>\n

“So what am I going to do about that? Come off Mounjaro probably. I really can’t abide being out of breath.”<\/p>\n

Administered as an injection, Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) is a weight loss treatment that can help control a patient’s appetite by making them feel satisfied and slowing the rate at which their stomach empties, according to the NHS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Clarkson is said to have lost three stone in merely six months using this increasingly sought-after treatment, though he also revealed that he believes he has now “plateaued”.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Sun Club, Clarkson described the medication as “astonishing”. He said: “The shoes I was wearing last year are falling off me as I’m walking around. I think I might be the first person in the world to lose weight on my feet.<\/p>\n

“I’ve plateaued now. I’m still on it, but not losing any more weight – but nor am I putting any on, because it keeps my appetite level down. It really is an astonishing drug.”<\/p>\n

Online pharmacy Chemist4U states that the weight people shed whilst taking Mounjaro isn’t purely fat. It referenced research suggesting that up to one-third of the reduction is “non-fat mass” or “muscle and bone mass (lean mass)”.<\/p>\n

Elaborating on his Mounjaro journey with The Sun, Clarkson also mentioned that he hasn’t encountered many typical side effects, though his partner, Lisa Hogan, apparently observed he’d become slightly more irritable.<\/p>\n

He commented: “Constipation? No, I don’t have that. Diminished libido?
