\n Heather and Nick thanked all of the artists they\u2019ve worked with over the years, and said they helped make the gallery the vibrant place it is today.\n<\/p>\n
\n They also said a huge thank you to all of their customers and supporters.\n<\/p>\n
\n Heather added: \u201cWithout you, we would never have lasted 12 years on Kempock Street.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI think that\u2019s an absolutely amazing achievement.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s been such a long period of time to be in business, and we\u2019re really proud of that.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWhen we look back it will be with sheer joy.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe hope that you\u2019ve enjoyed our business as much as we have.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Nick added: \u201cIt has been a hoot.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n Well-known figures from all over Inverclyde took to social media to share their sadness at the news.\n<\/p>\n
\n Artist Alec Galloway said: \u201cHeartbroken but totally understandable.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Love you both, you will be missed more than you know.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Gourock councillor Sandra Reynolds added: \u201cGutted for you but I understand why.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cFolk think that Gourock businesses are flourishing because of independent shops like yours but circumstances beyond your control take their toll despite your hard work.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cYou’ll be missed.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Mairi Coventry, owner of The Wee Crafty Owl on Jamaica Street in Greenock, said: \u201cI’m so sorry to hear this.\n<\/p>\n
