Police are investigating after a group of people reportedly caused thousands of pounds worth of damage by “tearing up grass” using dune buggies and quad bikes at popular spots in Merthyr. South Wales Police<\/a> is looking to identify the riders of a red quadbike and a grey dune buggy (pictured) that was allegedly seen driving over the grass outside of Merthyr College and Merthyr Leisure Village.<\/p>\n

Officers said the actions of the group have caused \u00a32,000 worth of damage to the grass, and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n

A post from South Wales Police said: “Officers are looking to identify the riders of a red quadbike and a grey dune buggy pictured below, that have been driving over the grass outside of Merthyr College and the Leisure Village.<\/p>\n

“The result of this driving, has been the tearing up of the grass which has caused \u00a32,000 worth of damage for the local authority.<\/p>\n
